Located in the heart of downtown Brockton, the Lincoln School enjoyed a long history filled with educating the community’s young students. Now, this beautiful 1896 Richardsonian Romanesque building has been repurposed into high-quality, affordable senior housing for those who need it most.
Davis Square Architects worked with NeighborWorks Housing Solutions to restore and transform the Lincoln School into 37 affordable senior apartments, including spaces for a community room, parking, and an onsite manager and services coordinator. Conveniently located on several bus routes and close to the MBTA Commuter Rail, the development is also near the recently expanded Senior Center and other municipalities. The project received funding through historic tax credits.
