Info
Located on a 3.5-acre former church site and at the corner of several main thoroughfares, the Saint Polycarp Village Apartments has been called a “Gateway to the City”. This new construction mixed-use building offers 24 affordable green housing units, three ground-level retail spaces and public landscaped outdoor space.
The design and materials of the building were inspired by the adjacent Interstate with horizontal red trim, and metal-clad stair towers with views of downtown Boston. Incorporating solar photovoltaic panels, a vegetated roof, triple-paned windows, sprayfoam insulation and many other green features, the project achieved LEED-Silver certification. Additionally, graphic design services for a logo, stationery set and signage were also part of the project.
