Info
In order to address the lack of affordable housing for seniors, O’Connor Way Senior Housing has transformed a vacant site that has sat unused for the last 50 years into a 46-unit, affordable elderly housing development in the heart of South Boston. 34 units are reserved for households at/or below 60% of area median income, with 12 units for households at/or below 30% of area median income, five of which are set aside for homeless households. Three of the units are handicapped-accessible.
The project is built to LEED-certifiable standards and also includes a manager’s unit, community room, laundry room, and a manager’s office.
Additionally, the development is within walking distance of the Andrew Square MBTA Red Line station.
