Hillside Village Apartments

Hillside Village is a 40-unit affordable housing development located in Providence, RI. Davis Square Architects worked closely with Preservation of Affordable Housing to establish an initial scope of work and a 20-year replacement reserve capital plan.

The top priorities were to reassert a management presence and provide accessibility to the laundry room and management office, as well as making community spaces more attractive to the residents. New canopies define entrances and create welcoming front doors, while upgraded interior finishes, site signage and landscaping allow residents to take pride in where they live. In addition, fire suppression systems were added to the stair halls.
