Davis Square Architects worked with Lena Park Community Development Corporation on the substantial, occupied renovations to Granite Lena Park, an historic eight-building, 143-unit, scattered-site affordable housing development in the Franklin Field North neighborhood of Dorchester.
These critical renovations provide a tremendous boost to residents, families and the neighborhood and help preserve the critical stock of affordable housing. The scope of work included masonry restoration and preservation; new windows, entrances and video intercoms; LED lighting, ENERGY STAR® appliances and water-saving fixtures; new paint and finishes; new sprinkler systems, alarms and life-safety improvements; new energy-efficient heating and ventilation equipment; and accessibility upgrades for residents and visitors.
