Providing affordable housing to Somerville residents, Glen Street Condominiums is the adaptive reuse of the former East Somerville American Legion post, which was originally a trade school. Davis Square Architects is currently working with Somerville Community Corporation on preserving the existing building as well as adding two new stories, resulting in ten 2-bedroom units and one 3-bedroom unit for sale to homebuyers. Eight of the units will be reserved for limited-income households and three units will be designated market-rate. The project is located near the planned Washington Street MBTA Green Line Extension stop, as well as a short walk from two schools.
