FamilyAid is a leading provider of solutions to family homelessness in the Greater Boston area. DSA is working with FamilyAid on an amazing project — the rehabilitation of a former nursing home on Washington Street in Newton to serve as emergency shelter housing.
Once these interior and exterior upgrades are completed, this “Family Navigation Center” will provide families facing homelessness with 42 units of temporary transitional housing, where they will have access to a variety of on-site services, including job training, life skills, courses in nutrition and personal finance, and housing search and placement assistance.
