Congress Street Residences

Davis Square Architects worked with the North Shore Community Development Corporation on the transformation of Congress Street Residences, an eight-building, 64-unit occupied rehab located in Salem, Massachusetts’ Point Neighborhood Historic District. Preserving long-term affordability for residents and families, the renovations included unit reconfigurations, kitchen and bath upgrades, high-efficiency heating systems, and combining two units into 2,000 sf of community space. Congress Street Residences was also awarded the New England Region “Community Development Achievement” Award by the National Community Development Association.
