Bright Horizons | Back Bay

Continuing our relationship with Bright Horizons, Davis Square Architects was asked to create a welcoming childcare space in a former bank on two floors of a busy downtown Boston office building. Challenges included incorporating an old safe and historic entry into the space, as well as working within the constraints of a complex city site. Working with Bright Horizons, the design team maintained high-quality design standards in a difficult and unique space while solving many permitting, egress, and other technical issues on a tight schedule. Project highlights include high ceilings, a bright and invigorating color palette, and a feature staircase that provides a fun entry into the space.
