9 Leyland Street

Davis Square Architects worked in partnership with DBEDC on a new senior living project that provides 43 affordable rental units in the Upham’s Corner neighborhood of Dorchester. This five-story development includes both one- and two-bedroom apartments, along with a multi-purpose room for both residents and community members, bike storage, laundry facilities and a roof terrace. Off-street parking spaces and connections to nearby amenities such as gardens and playgrounds are also provided for residents.

Located on a formerly vacant lot, 9 Leyland Street brings significant improvements to the neighborhood by providing much needed affordable and sustainable senior housing in a supportive environment that promotes health and quality of life. Nine Leyland is a Phius+ 2018 Core Certified project.
