Davis Square Architects is currently working on 170 Cottage Street, the redevelopment of a long-vacant lot into affordable rental housing in Chelsea. The new building will provide 66 one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom residential units as well as a community room, enclosed parking, laundry rooms, and space for onsite services. In addition, more than 15,000 sf of open space is planned, including a public park adjacent to the Chelsea Greenway, a multi-modal pedestrian and bike path.
The project site is located one block away from the Eastern Avenue stop on the Silver Line in Chelsea. 170 Cottage Street is Phius 2021 Design Certified.
