Employee info

Eric Chamberlin joined the firm in 2005 as a job captain; he is now one of the principals at DSA. With over 25 years of architectural experience, Eric has worked on the design of complex renovations, new construction, adaptive reuse, occupied rehab, historic buildings, public safety buildings, churches, office spaces, childcare, and both market-rate and affordable housing projects. He is a registered architect in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Eric’s projects include the renovation of the Amory Street Residences, an occupied rehab project in Jamaica Plain. Eleven new units were added and the existing 200 were renovated, providing much-needed affordable housing for seniors. The Marion Street project in Brookline replaces a set of low-rise apartment buildings on the site with a new Passive House certified building for seniors. This new 7-story building provides 115 units and includes a fitness room, several community rooms, a courtyard, and a community kitchen/dining area, all for resident use.

370 Essex Street was a gut rehab plus addition in downtown Lawrence. This existing, abandoned five-story building was completely renovated, and the new addition was constructed on an adjacent vacant lot. In all, the project includes 39 residential units and over 7,000 sf of street level retail. Bartlett Building A is one phase in the redevelopment of Bartlett Station in Roxbury. The new 60-unit, mixed-income building is LEED Gold-certified and includes multiple street-level retail spaces as well as a parking garage. The West Newton Armory is a renovation plus addition project. Part of the existing armory building will be torn down to make room for a new addition to include housing and a parking garage. The remaining portion of the armory will hold community spaces and new office space for one of our clients. The project will be Passive House certified.
