DSA’s Lia Scheele, RA, NOMA, LEED AP, CPHC and Anna Wason attended the groundbreaking for WCG Homes last week! An exciting step in this scattered-site occupied rehab, MassDevelopment has issued a $21.4M tax-exempt bond to support Worcester Common Ground’s renovation and preservation of 73 affordable apartments across 16 buildings in Worcester’s historic Piedmont neighborhood.
WCG’s continued commitment to the community and its residents plays a vital role in new sustainable practices. The project includes deep energy retrofits and solar installations on four buildings, modernized systems, and accessibility upgrades to ensure these homes remain affordable, sustainable, and resilient for the long term.
