After several months hidden behind 12 stories of scaffolding and protective tarp, the exterior façade at The Cohen Residences is being revealed! One of Davis Square Architects’ current projects, The Cohen Residences is a 12-story affordable senior rental community located in Brookline’s Coolidge Corner. Working with Hebrew SeniorLife and Center Communities of Brookline, DSA helped this 1976 building become a much more modern and colorful change to the area. Five units were renovated into accessible units, relocating two units from the first floor to make way for an addition that created new, open community spaces for the residents and the public. The existing brick façade was removed and replaced with areas of masonry block, aluminum panels, and fiber cement panels. The project is expected to be complete in early fall.
