A grand opening was held for Hope House’s The Leyland Street Graduate Program, one of Davis Square Architects’ recently completed projects. Leyland Street is the conversion of a former three-family building into a 26-bed sober living environment, located in Dorchester’s Uphams Corner neighborhood. The project also features shared common spaces and a kitchen, plus a cartetaker’s apartment and one accessible unit. Attending the ceremony were Governor Charlie Baker, Boston’s Mayor Marty Walsh and Massachusetts’ Secretary of Health & Human Services Mary Lou Sudders, as well as Hope House’s President and CEO Frederick Newton and Vice President Paul Yates. Leyland Street was developed by R.E. Goldstein Development Consulting, with Laing Enterprises as the general contractor, and financing provided by Eastern Bank. Check out some photos of the event.
