A CITC fundraiser was held recently for Carter School, one of Davis Square Architects’ current projects. Owned and sponsored by NewVue Communities, Carter School is the adaptive reuse of a former historic Leominster, MA junior high school into 39 units of affordable housing. Held just across the street from the project at the West End Diner, the fundraiser featured a “sneak peek” into future plans for Carter with drone video footage, renderings and elevations, plus a walk-around tour of the school. Speakers included NewVue Communities’ Board Director Bill Brassard and Executive Director Marc Dohan, as well as State Representative Natalie Higgins, Mayor Dean Mazzarella, and Davis Square Architects’ Cliff Boehmer and Paul Warkentin.
