Davis Square Architects’ project Leyden Woods Apartments in Greenfield, MA officially broke ground on Wednesday, December 9th. In attendance were project lenders, the design/construction team, residents and members of the public. The redevelopment of the existing development entails new construction of 200 modular, factory-built Energy Star apartments, as well as site-wide improvements. Attendees also toured a modular unit (to be trucked from Pennsylvania!) and saw a partially completed building. The project consists of 49 buildings and will be built in eight phases.
