Alena Parunina joined Davis Square Architects in 2016 as a designer. Having interned at several architectural firms, she brings experience collaborating with architects, designers and engineers to produce multidisciplinary drawings for a wide range of projects, as well as performing on-site visits and inspections. She is also skilled at presentation design, and is familiar with product research and material selection.

Alena is currently working on Comm-Glenn Apartments, an affordable 235-unit occupied rehabilitation project in Allston, Massachusetts. The scope of work includes accessibility, life safety and code upgrades, as well as window and heating improvements. Renovations will also be made to common areas, as well as select units for kitchen, bath and flooring updates. Exterior improvements include entry stair replacement, and the alley will undergo regrading and repaving as well as the installation of a new stormwater recharge system. She is also working on childcare facilities for Bright Horizons on Dartmouth Street, in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood.

Alena is a recent graduate of Northeastern University, and received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 2016. She is LEED Accredited and also a certified Construction Document Technologist. She has previously volunteered for Habitat for Humanity as a construction site assistant, managing volunteer groups and directly participating in hands-on building and construction.
