Davis Square Architects is currently working with the Caribbean Integration Community Development and the Planning Office for Urban Affairs on Morton Station Village, a 40-unit mixed-income development in Mattapan. Formerly home to a Boston Police Department station, the 34,000 sf site has been sitting vacant and unused for some time.

The development will revitalize the neighborhood by bringing new economic and social investment to the area, and is located adjacent to the new 8,000 sf Steven P. Odom Serenity Garden, honoring the late 13-year-old Dorchester resident who was an innocent victim of violence. The Morton Street housing is also directly across the street from the Morton Street Commuter Rail Station, making it an ideal transit-oriented development.
