Morton Station Village
Davis Square Architects is currently working with the Caribbean Integration Community Development and the Planning Office for Urban Affairs on Morton Station Village, a 40-unit mixed-income development in Mattapan, MA. Formerly home to a Boston Police Department station, the 34,000 sf site has been sitting vacant and unused for some time.
The development will revitalize the neighborhood by bringing new economic and social investment to the area, and will also feature an 8,000 sf serenity garden honoring a 13-year-old Dorchester boy, Steven P. Odom. Morton Street Housing is directly across the street from the Morton Street station on the MBTA Commuter Rail, making it the ideal transit-oriented development.
