Teaming up with North Shore Community Development Coalition and the YMCA of the North Shore, Davis Square Architects designed Holcroft Park Homes, an affordable housing development that provides 58 apartments in six new buildings in Beverly’s Gloucester Crossing neighborhood. Phase II of the project consists of two buildings and 29 units available to low-income individuals and families.
Designed to mimic the classic triple-deckers surrounding the site, both buildings are ENERGY STAR®-rated, with accessible units and the convenience of nearby public transportation. Establishing a strong sense of community and family, the project is a source of pride among residents, and has also significantly reduced crime in this formerly economically distressed neighborhood
