Villa at Meadowview Groundbreaking

Tewksbury, MA, June 11, 2013 – Tuesday morning was a cause for celebration as the Villa at Meadowview groundbreaking took place. Davis Square Architects is currently working on the new construction of thirty-three units of senior housing. Speakers from the Town and development team expressed their gratitude and shared the next steps for a development that promotes independent living. The project is due for completion in mid-2014.

Property amenities and highlights include a library equipped with a computer room as well as an arts and crafts room, a dining room, patio, and an entryway with a fireplace.

The participation of the town has tremendously helped to move the Villa at Meadowview in a positive direction. The $6.1 million project has been funded by the generous $5.6 million contributions from HUD, and $500,000 from the town.

The development team consists of the efforts of Tewksbury, Elder Services of Merrimack Valley, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Davis Square Architects, Landmark Structures Corporation, and Gagnier Hicks Associates, LLC.
