We are pleased to announce our newest designer, Omar Hussein! Omar received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Boston Architectural College (BAC), where his thesis “Triple Threat” received a commendation. He brings to DSA several years of experience in affordable and market-rate housing, both renovations and new construction projects, as well as experience performing surveys of existing buildings for adherence to ADA standards. Omar is currently working on 50 Oriol Drive, a former Quality Inn in Worcester that will be renovated and converted into permanent supportive housing. He is also involved in construction administration of the 170 Cottage Street project in Chelsea, a PHIUS 2021 Design Certified new building providing affordable rental housing, and renovation of the 252-unit Meadowbrook Apartments located just outside of Northampton, MA. Omar’s interests outside of architecture include long walks in Boston and Cambridge, traveling, photography, dancing, and gaming. We’re very happy to have you on board Omar!
