Bartlett Station, one of Davis Square Architects’ current projects, was featured as a model community in an article discussing the redevelopment and revitalization of the Atlanta BeltLine, a former railway corridor around the core of Atlanta, GA that is creating a global beacon for equitable, inclusive, and sustainable city life. In a seminar hosted by Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies, Boston communities such as Bartlett Station, as well as those in Washington and Detroit, all serve as examples of equitable, healthy economic development for low-income and affordable housing, in addition to promoting a better quality of life for residents. Once a former trolley yard, Bartlett Station is now a new 10-building, 367-unit mixed-use neighborhood of affordable, moderate, market-rate rental and homeownership housing, senior housing, and commercial/retail space.
